Leave Delhi this morning and travel south to the city of Agra by train. Don’t worry about the logistics, you will be assisted to the train and then met on arrival in Agra.
You are free to simply enjoy the journey. Agra is famous for its Mughal architecture and Agra Fort has a fascinating history. Explore the mighty Agra Fort with an expert local guide this afternoon.
HOTEL - ITC Mughal or similar
You have an early start today, but it’s all worth it for the sight of the Taj Mahal at sunrise. It’s a wonderful time to take in this majestic monument of love. It’s before the day gets too hot and the rest of the crowds arrive.
Take your time here, you’ll have some guided time and some time to explore independently. Afterwards, drive south (5 hrs) to a less explored area of the Rajasthani countryside.
HOTEL - Ramathra Fort or similar
It’s been a busy and bustling adventure so far. Today relax into the pace of Rajasthani village life. The day is at your leisure.
A popular activity is to enjoy a 2-3 hour guided walk of the local villages. It’s a marvellous way to see real village life and talk to local people away from the cities. The sunset boat ride and local bird watching are also included in your stay here.
Other options include a cooking demonstration, massages, a camel cart ride, a local wilderness drive and simply relaxing.
HOTEL - Ramathra Fort or similar
Say goodbye to the hilltop fort that you have called home for the past two nights. Then drive 5 hours north through the countryside to the city of Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan.
The pink city gets its name from its terracotta architecture and it is no wonder this becomes many a travellers favourite Indian city. Check into your palatial hotel and have some time to relax and enjoy the facilities. Later, head out for a cooking experience and dinner with a local family.

Wake up in Jaipur with a few options for your morning. You may like to start your day with some yoga, do a little independent exploration or simply have a leisurely breakfast and relax by the pool.
As an optional upgrade you could opt for a sunrise hot-air balloon ride. Later in the day enjoy a tour of Jaipur old town and a chance to explore the local markets.

This morning drive 11km north-east out of the city to the Mughal capital of Amber for a tour of majestic Amber Fort Palace.
Afterwards, drive north back to Delhi. This will take around 5 hours and your hotel is based near the airport.

Breakfast is included this morning, then make your way to the airport. It’s only a 10 minute transfer to Delhi International Airport (DEL).

A small heritage hotel, Haveli Dharampura is a haven right in the heart of Old Delhi. The exquisitely renovated rooms, excellent restaurant and personal service make this a wonderfully characterful boutique hotel.
Our Opinion: The best option for being in the real centre of Delhi. This place oozes character and class and Chadni Chowk is right on your doorstep. No other hotel in Delhi can boast that.

Wonderfully off the beaten track, away from the cities and tourist sights, Ramathra Fort is a gem in a tranquil, rural setting. Meals, local walks and sunset boat rides on the local lake are included in your stay. There is a hot tub in which you can relax and look down at the countryside from the fort’s ramparts.
Our Opinion: This is a beautiful, peaceful part of Rajasthan. There’s no better place to take a break from the cities to relax and get closer to real Indian village life.

Originally built by Jaipur’s royal family, Samode Haveli has a beautiful central courtyard and gorgeous swimming pool. The rooms are elegantly and tastefully decorated and the service is impeccable. Samode Haveli still exudes a sense of royalty.
Our Opinion: A truly stunning hotel, with a pool, in the centre of Jaipur. It doesn’t get any better than that.
